180 FOR 50,000 DISTRICT PLANTATION PROGRAM

The plantation program was held at Buddha Stupa, Lama Gaun Banepa-9, Kavrepalanchok on 26th July, 2025, Saturday at 7am onwards in collaboration with the District Forest Department and Local Municipal Authority, Ward-9.
The event was inaugurated by the President of Wrad-9,Banepa Municpality Ms. Manisha Tamang. A total of 180 saplings, including Dhupi and Kalki plants were planted in and around the premises. An awareness session on the importance of trees and environmental conservation was held before the plantation activity. Experts from the Village Development Commiittee spoke about climate change, biodiversity, and the role of trees in sustaining life.
Impact:
The plantation drive not only added greenery to the environment but also instilled a sense of responsibility in the students toward nature. The initiative is expected to help reduce carbon emissions and improve the local ecosystem over time.
